Tesla is making a grand comeback to the prestigious 2024 Paris Motor Show after six years of absence. The 2024 Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l’Auto – Paris) is expected to be held from October 14 to 20, 2024.

As noted by the Paris Motor Show on its official website, Tesla’s last appearance at the event was in 2018. At the time, Tesla brought over the Model 3 sedan, which effectively revolutionized the transportation sector by making desirable EVs accessible. Tesla caused quite a sensation then, thanks to the Model 3’s unique blend of style, safety, performance, tech, and durability.

Tesla seems determined to show just how much it has grown since its last appearance at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. This year, the electric vehicle maker is expected to showcase its entire vehicle lineup. These include the Model Y, the world’s best-selling vehicle by volume last year, as well as the reengineered Model 3 sedan. Tesla’s flagship Model S and Model X will also be present.

Tesla’s centerpiece for the 2024 Paris Motor Show, however, would likely be the Cybertruck. The brutalist all-electric pickup truck would likely grab quite a lot of attention at the motoring event, especially considering all the innovations that have been implemented on it. The Paris Motor Show’s official website also noted that Optimus, Tesla’s humanoid robot, will be featured at the event as well.

Serge Gachot, Director of the Mondial de l’Auto, noted that there is quite a bit of excitement surrounding Tesla’s return to the prestigious auto show. “We are delighted to welcome the pioneers of the electric car to the Mondial de l’Auto: the only thing missing was Tesla! We will thus bring together all the elements for a great celebration of the automobile,” Gachot noted.

The Paris Motor Show is among the world’s longest-running automotive shows, with the first-ever showcase being held way back in 1898, a time when the automobile had only been invented. Quite interestingly, the very first Paris Motor Show featured vehicles that were both combustion-powered and electric.
